If someone has applied for a visa and been waiting for more than a month, so how can I get to know the status of my visa application. My interview date was on February 5, 2021, and the intended date of travel is April 10, 2021. I have already emailed the German Embassy Islamabad and they have told me to refrain from further inquiries.
So what should I do like just wait or any other method to get an update of visa status?
Thank you in anticipation.

Generally, the study visa takes up to approximately 3 to 4 weeks. In some cases, the embassy/consulate tells you if they need some document. It’s always the best idea to ask during the interview how long can it take to get the visa. During Covid-19 times the embassies/consulate can be closed and that could also be a reason that your visa approval is taking longer.
If you don’t get the visa after a month, you should write them. If you have your enrollment deadline coming near and you have to join the program, you should definitely write embassy/consulate to request the status of your visa.
As a side note, due to Covid-19 restristriction, the classes in all German universities are online except some programs or specific situations. If your program is completely online, don’t worry about the enrollment deadline if your visa approval is taking longer. You can enroll online at your university and the only document you need from Germany to get enrolled successfully at your unviersity is German student health insurance certificate (versicherungbescheinigung). You can apply for German student health insurance certificate online at Leazear website and get in the short possible time. If your enrollment deadline is near, you should contact us and let us know so we can put you on the priority list. This way you would not miss your deadline.
Let me know in response below about the response from the embassy. For other questions related to your enrollment, next steps before and after arrival in a new thread and I or anyone else from the Leazear team or our community would be glad to help you with your study in Germany journey.
